Today it was freezing cold, like, FREEZING, and I am a person who hates being cold. But thankfully our soccer coach, Coach Knoblock (AKA Knobby), decided it would be a bright idea to go to one of the elementary schools and use their gym for practice. THANK YOU KNOBBY! I really do hate being cold with a burning passion.
Anyways, to warm up the soccer team jumped rope. I love jumping rope. It's awesome cardio and it works your whole body. So I jumped along. Only for like ten minutes though (my pants kept falling off, I needed some shorts).
After warming up and doing a couple drills, Coach Knoblock decided that they were going to play six on six and all of our coaches would each be the captain of a team and every time Knoblock made a goal he ran a victory lap. He also looked very sporty with his sweater tucked into his sweatpants, at least five people got pictures of it, sadly I did not.
So tomorrow I have to tape my loverly friend Miguel for shin splints. Taping actually doesn't help much but he seems to think that it is the only thing that will help him. Sadly I do not enjoy taping shin splints.
There's actually multiple ways to tape shin splints and I'm going to talk to Coach Servis (the coach/science teacher who mainly takes care of injuries) to try and discern the best way to tape them for Miguel. Hopefully he can help me with this connundrum. I'll let you know how it pans out tomorrow.
For now,
Andrea
