"I am the trainer, not the athlete."

Ah, the reason for the name of today's post... Whenever I say those few words the conversation usually goes as such:

*Usually in the situation of the boys(or now girls) doing an impossibly hard drill or running a million miles*
"Come on guys!" -Me
"I'd like to see you do it." -Annoying athlete
"I am the trainer, not the athlete." -Me

Today was my second day of soccer I'm happy to report. I'm loving it already. I think I didn't like wrestling because I never did ANYTHING. I did so little during wrestling practice, I would catch some Zs. But now with soccer I'm fetching harnesses, stretching hamstrings and calves, and running after balls.

My first day of soccer was definitely something that I enjoyed. For some reason the other managers weren't there so I was doing most of everything, which I didn't mind too much. There wasn't all that much to do. Soccer right now is all about conditioning so mostly they are running or doing drills. Nothing too funny to report on for yesterday.

Today though (before I left early) they were all in a giant circle doing drills and the freshmen who was standing across the circle from where I was standing was doing every exercise wrong in every possible manner.

Other than that, much didn't happen today. The wrestling pictures are posted on the web though.

Here's mine:

Oh I guess I could report that I talked to one of the football coaches, Coach Servis, about my quitting wrestling. He doesn't blame me and I guess that is more than I could ask for. I really didn't want to disappoint him. I actually feel better about it now, too. No more worries for Andrea.

Gooday to y'all, as we say here in Oklahoma (and Australia sometimes),
Andrea
