Mmmm, Elk Meat!

So it's football season. I know I haven't blogged in a long while. A long long while. Whoops. First let me say that I don't really know if anyone reads this and honestly I don't care. This is an outlet for whenever I need it. Isn't that what blogs are supposed to be?

Anyways, on to talking about football. Ahhh, Boys of Fall and other stuff like that. So far the Woodward Boomers are 4-4.  Last Thursday we had an amazing battle against the Elk City Elks and we ended a 13 year long losing streak against them with a score of 24-10. Elk City is our rival, obviously. One thing that I wonder now is whether they will continue to be or not.

Our district record is 3-2, which means that if we win one of the two remaining games, we make it to playoffs for the first time in four years. I'm ready for football season to be over just so I am able to get a job, but on the other hand I don't want to end because it is my last high school season.

Right now, the injuries are few and I am thankful for that. The worst thing we have right now is our starting quarterback broke his wrist and now is unable to throw. He has to wear a brace that keeps his thumb in place. If he were to be tackled and his wrist injured again he would lose all movement in his wrist. Because he is only a sophomore, our head coach is keeping him out of the game and I don't blame him. Our second string is doing an amazing job filling in for now and hopefully our starter will be able to play soon. I know he is ready.

Well, hopefully I will not forget to write because it seems as though I will have to make a new blog for the fact I won't be a trainer anymore when the season is over. We shall meet again!

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Spring Break!

It's currently Spring Break here for Woodward, OK. My best friend Abigail is here for the week. She usually resides in Denton, TX but she made the 6 hour trek just to see me. So far we haven't done too much except for walk around Wal-Mart and go to the different RedBoxes throughout town to try and find the movie Burlesque.

I haven't really been able to post anything for I've been super busy with my giant Kinesiology project for my Anatomy project and my computer has also been residing at the computer doctor's house for awhile now and I just got it back recently.

Nothing Student Athletic training wise has been going on really. We had our first soccer game two weeks ago and sadly we were stomped. I didn't think that we were that bad... But apparently whenever you don't have a coach with an Australian or Scottish accent... You just don't have a coach at all. We joked with our head coach that he needed to get an accent and we also decided that it should be a "gangsta" accent. We always tease Coach Knoblock that he is a gangster because the first few years of his teaching career were spent in Oklahoma City, also known as The City in Oklahoma.

Now, I must go, for Spring Break is calling my name and Abi is too. My mother is about to fix us a yummy dinner consisting of delicious breakfast foods. Tomorrow we are going to Enid, OK to do some shopping for Juvenile Diabetes Research and I have to be awake early. Enjoy your Spring Break!
